At the turn of the century, a number of changes occurred in the
growth of the Edward Street congregation along with growth and
changes in Decatur, Illinois. Membership growth at the turn of
the century required the congregation to begin a building program
for a new facility in 1903. Excellent pastors were called and
led the Dicsiples church to new growth and missions. Lay ministry
of members also continued at high levels of commitment to church
and community service. |
