Sailing Forward In the Spirit

Sailing Forward In the Spirit is the theme for Central's three-year campaign that encourages us as a congregation to open our arms in the spirit of community, outreach and generosity. The Sailing Forward in the Spirit campaign has five components: the retirement of any remaining debt, updating carpets and finishes in the Nichols Wing, participating in the regional capital campaign, improving accessibility int he sanctuary, and renovating the kitchen and Great Hall.

The campaign began with a celebration dinner on March 23rd. At that time, we burned the million dollar mortgage which our congregation has retired over the past twelve years and we heard about some truly generous gifts to elements of the current building fund campaign. Those in attendance were encouraged to make their own commitment to this campaign which will carry Central and its mission into the new millennium.
