After being organized in the log courthouse, then meeting for a time in a small log building and a brick house, the members of the Christian Church built a lovely frame church building at the corner of North Main and North Street in 1875. It was the first structure built specifically to be a church edifice for the young congregation. It was moved to the corner of William and Edwards Streets in 1893. This watercolor, painted by Rob O'Dell, was given to the church in memory of Russell B. Trowbridge. |
