Central's World Outreach
As a leading congregation of the Christian Church (Disciples
of Christ), Central traditionally contributes generously to the
Disciples Mission Fund (DMF). The "family fund"
of our denomination, DMF provides support for all regional and
general ministries beyond the local congregation including: 30
higher education institutions, 75 National Benevolent Association
residential campuses for senior adults and special children, more
than 100 missionaries and global mission interns in 30 countries
around the world, and regional ministries of the Christian Church
(Disciples of Christ) in Illinois and Wisconsin including an outdoor
camping program for more than 1,000 children and youth each summer.
Through the Week of Compassion, our congregation responds
to disasters and cases at home and around the world, and through
Reconciliation, our congregation supports ministries in North
America which attack the root causes of racism and poverty.
Disciples Mission Fund is the way we,
as Disciples, share ministries of love, hope, and service from our
congregational doorsteps to the ends of the earth.
Working together, we make a difference through shared ministries
encompassing the work of 36 regions, 11 general ministry units,
and 22 Disciples related higher education institutions.
- These organizations seek to fulfill the challenge of the
Gospel by providing important ministries on behalf of the whole
church. These ministries include:

- Making new church development and revitilizations projects
possible
- Educating our leaders and youth
- Supporting overseas mission in over 80 countries
- Providing resources and training for church leaders in the
areas of stewardship, evangelism, and mission
- Helping congregations call a new pastor
- Enabling programs for Christian Women's Fellowship and Disciples
Men
- Sponsoring regional youth camps and conferences
- And much more...
