On Friday, May 11, 2001, over 200 women gathered
for the 3rd annual Sarah's Daughters Banquet. Celebrated each
year around Mother's Day, the banquet recognizes and honors the
unique contribution that all women make to the life of the church.
Each woman, regardless of age or relationship, is a Daughter
of Sarah. The theme for 2001 was Quilts - Pieces of Women's Lives.
The Great Hall was adorned by approximately 75 quilts loaned
by members and friends of Central. The tables were decorated
with colorful calico fabrics to set the stage for the musical,
directed by Don Martin, depicting the stories of pioneer women
woven into their quilts. Below are some photos from the evening.
