Rev. Jim Whitaker, Pastor for Visitation
Central is most fortunate to have the Reverend Jim Whitaker serving as our Pastor of Visitation one day each week. Jim retired from a twenty-year pastorate at Davis Memorial Christian Church in Taylorville in 1997. Since January 1998, he has been devoting one or two days each week to pastoral calling at hospitals, nursing homes, and residences. Those who are visited consistently report how pleased they are to get to know Jim and what a lift his visits give them. Jim and his wife, Lois, are members of Central Christian Church and live in Taylorville.
