Welcome New Members, the Monroe family!

main image

With joy and thanksgiving, we welcome the Monroe Family to Central Christian!  Chris and Rebecca and their children have long been connected to Central.  They have attended for several years now.  All three of their children were raised in our preschool.  Rebecca, herself, has worked in our preschool.  And last week, Clara was baptized as part of our 2023-24 Faith Quest class.  They transferred their membership at the 9:15 service this past Sunday.  Welcome Chris, Rebecca, Jacob, Clara. and Eli!!

Welcome new member, Noelle Cohan!

Noelle Cohan joined the Central family this past Sunday.   Noelle has been attending traditional worship (both 8:00 and 10:30) weekly for the past month-and-a-half, has begun attending the Ecclesia Sunday School class, and says that she immediate felt “at home” here the moment she began attending.  Welcome Noelle!

Baptisms Again This Week!

On Easter Sunday, Emmy Osman and Cohen Irby (pictured left) were baptized at our 10:30 service.  This Sunday, Clara Damery and Clara Monroe (right) will be baptized as well.  Since Clara and Clara attend the 9:15 a.m. service, their baptisms will take place around 10:00 a.m.  The 9:15 service will end a bit early and then the congregation will come upstairs for the baptisms (in our baptistery).  If you do not normally attend the 9:15 service but would like to join us in the sanctuary for the baptisms at 10:00, feel free to do so.

Welcome New Member, Rev. Keela Neumann

main image

Rev. Keela Neumann, retired Disciples of Christ minister, transferred her membership to Central this past Sunday at the 9:15 service. Keela moved to the Decatur area several years ago to be closer to her family.  She is the grandmother of Kate and Kaycee Neumann (two of our youth who helped lead Youth Sunday this week). Pictured with another granddaughter, Kinley, Keela has long attended Central – virtually and in person – and has always been supportive of anything her grandchildren are doing. Welcome Keela!
